Steep roofs are a whole different animal. The pitch alone changes everything - how you move, how you stage materials, how you handle every single panel seam and ridge connection. Most roofers will take one look at a roof like this and quietly add a big number to the quote. We just get to work.

This home had a lot going on. Multiple roof planes, varying pitches, valleys where sections meet at tight angles, and a rounded cupola-style peak near the top that required careful fitting. Every one of those transitions is an opportunity for water to find a way in if the work isn't done right. Getting the panel runs straight and the trim details tight on geometry like this - that's where the real skill shows up.

We installed a crisp white metal roof across the entire structure. The color contrast against the red and white exterior is sharp, but more importantly, the white finish reflects heat rather than absorbing it. That's a real benefit heading into the hottest months of the year. Metal roofing is built to last decades, and on a home with this much architectural character, it was the right call.

What we're most proud of here is the consistency. Panel lines running clean and parallel down steep faces, trim work fitted tight around the chimney, and a finished ridge that looks like it was always meant to be there. That kind of result doesn't happen by accident - it comes from a crew that takes the details seriously on every single job, not just the easy ones.
